Bodyshop Calibrations

In the unfortunate event that your car is involved in an accident and has to go to the bodyshop to have some repairs done, there is a strong likelihood that it will require some sort of ADAS Calibration.

This may be Camera calibration, if you have a camera built into the windscreen, or a Radar Calibration, if you have a Radar module behind the front grill.

If the car has any sort of jigging done, at all, this will change the steering geometry, which in turn will misalign the Camera or Radar, rendering them out of calibration.

If the car has the front bumper removed, to carry out front end repairs, the repairer cant guarantee that the Radar module will be in exactly the same place as it came out of the factory, so will need a Radar Calibration.

And if the car has had the windscreen removed and refitted to enable roof or A post repairs then the Windscreen camera will need a Camera Calibration.

All of these calibrations are recognized by Thatcham as an essential part of the repair process and should be sorted out by your body shop whilst the vehicle is in for repair.

Dont forget ADAS Calibrations Sheffield can visit body shops and do all of these calibrations, saving time and money
