ADAS COding

Radar Calibration (its in your front grill by the way)

Radar Calibration
Easily the single most important aspect of any repair work done on your car.
Little is know by you, the general public. You buy a car and it works, Its a new car and you love it.

You love how it slows you down if you get too close to the car in front. You love how it slammed the brakes on that time a dog ran out in front of you, before you had time to think about it. You love how you can set the cruise control and the fact that it is adaptive.

How does this stuff work ?

Well let me tell you, there is a Radar hidden away in the front grill of your car. This bounces Radar signals out at a phenomenal rate and these Radar “beams” detect interruption. When the signal is interrupted or altered the car knows to either slow down slowly, dramatically, or bring you to a controlled and abrupt stop.

So, Unfortunately someone ran into the side of your car and it is the bodyshop getting repaired. The impact of the accident may or may not of knocked the radar module, but either way the front bumper and grill has been removed to effect a repair.

Or your car may need some structural repair, jigging of the chassis rails, or a new suspension leg.

You eventually get your car back . Do you have certification to say that the ADAS Radar has been re calibrated? Why not? Has it been done?

The bumper has been removed , or new suspension parts have been used. The Radar worked at the predetermined factory set position, but since it has been removed, knocked, altered, replaced, or there is any doubt as to its integrity, then this MUST be calibrated, NO EXCEPTIONS
